Reflections on listening to the lecture "Mountain Dwelling in the Dark Autumn"

I have always believed that teaching ancient poetry is both simple and complex. The simplicity lies in the fact that there are only a few sentences, and repeated reading in one class can teach many tricks; the complexity lies in the fact that the understanding of poetry completely depends on the teacher's own questioning level and the depth of students' literacy. If not, one class may teach a lonely person: Teacher The lectures were so colorful that the students were incomprehensible... It wasn't until I listened to Teacher Sun Shuangjin's "Mountain Dwelling in the Autumn Twilight" that I realized that ancient poetry could be taught in this way.

Teacher Sun mentioned in his sharing that he originally taught this lesson when he discovered that teachers did not know how to ask questions when teaching ancient poetry, and asking questions is the most critical part of ancient poetry teaching, so We were lucky enough to see this demonstration lesson.

Every question Teacher Sun asked in this class was so spot-on. At the beginning of class, he started by writing "日" and wrote "杝" one by one. Each time he wrote a word, he explained a step, and the meaning of the word became clear. Until the complete topic was written, all the words The children all understood the meaning of "Mountain Dwelling in the Dark Autumn". This process taught students how to understand the poem's topic and use question scaffolds to run through the problem-solving method.

The second link is for the entire poem. Understanding poetic meaning is an important and difficult part of teaching ancient poetry. A slight mistake will increase the difficulty. Teacher Sun used questions one by one to build a scaffold for understanding poetry, and quietly solved the problem of understanding poetry. He introduced the word "fresh" from "After the new rain in the empty mountain, what is the empty mountain? What kind of feeling does the new rain after the empty mountain give people?" and then guided the reading, from understanding to reading, it is casual and natural. Then a question was asked: The poet was fascinated by such scenery and refused to leave for a long time. What kind of scene seems to appear in front of you when you see "the bright moon shines among the pines, and the clear spring rocks flow"? Then the characteristics of paintings in Wang Wei's poems are introduced, and the children can feel the "quietness" of the environment. The air is fresh and the environment is quiet, but what about the people? Then the sentence "The noise of bamboo returns to Huan Nu, and the lotus leaves move on the fishing boat" is naturally introduced, allowing students to fully explain and describe it. Then start word-changing training. Can you replace "noisy" and "moving" with other words? Build a scaffold for children to understand words, so that students can understand the poet's intention in using words this way.

In this way, one link after another, questions were thrown out one by one, and finally the children understood where the ethereal "Buddha Nature" is reflected in the poems of "Poetry Buddha" Wang Wei.

At the end, Teacher Sun sang ancient poems to the music, which made us realize that Wang Wei's poems embody the ethereal spirit. What is it if it is not a Buddha?

In this class, I did not listen from the perspective of the teacher, but also from the perspective of the student. I understood it and dug out the knowledge that I lacked before. Is this the best class?
