The relationship between Vietnam and lotus

If we consider the length of time that people have recognized the national flower as the national flower, the lotus has the longest history of being the national flower of Vietnam. Although Vietnam does not have a national flower in the legal sense, because the lotus culture has been deeply rooted in Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will tell you with one voice: their national flower is the golden lotus.

Vietnam is a country that advocates Buddhism. The profound influence of thousands of years of Buddhism has spread to every corner here, and the lotus flower that symbolizes Buddhism is also very popular in Vietnam. In addition to this religious root, the Vietnamese people's firm belief in the lotus also comes from the deep memory and respect of all citizens for leader Ho Chi Minh. Chairman Ho Chi Minh’s hometown is called Kim Lien Village. People regard Chairman Ho as the incarnation of the lotus and believe that he is as sacred, beautiful, noble and upright as the lotus. Therefore, the lotus has been given a deeper connotation. In a famous Vietnamese poem, it is written: "The best name in Vietnam is Ho Chi Minh, and the most beautiful thing in the quagmire is the lotus."

The Vietnamese people have written their own "Love Lotus Theory" with their deep patriotic feelings and religious emotions. It is pure, soft and gorgeous, and is a symbol of the Vietnamese people's pioneering and positive spirit. It is used as a symbol of strength, auspiciousness, peace and light, and the lotus is also used as a metaphor for heroes, gods and Buddhas. In short, all beautiful ideals are represented by lotus flowers.
