"Dwelling in the Mountains in the Twilight of Autumn" describes the scene at dusk after the rain in early autumn. It is a landscape poem. The name of this poem flourished during the Tianbao period of Kaiyuan. It was written by Wang Wei when he lived in seclusion at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain in Wangchuan in his later years.
Wang Wei was a famous poet and painter in the Tang Dynasty of my country. Wang Weiduo sang about landscapes and countryside with exquisite language. He often composes poems in the form of Wulu and Wujue. Wang Wei was widowed in middle age, childless in old age, and had lived alone for 30 years. Since middle age, he has been depressed and has sought sustenance from worshiping Buddha and mountains and rivers. Together with Meng Haoran, they are collectively known as "Wang Meng" and are known as the "Poetry Buddha". He meditated on Zen and realized Taoism, and traveled among mountains and rivers. He claimed to take pleasure in realizing silence, and incorporated his emotions into his poems. Therefore, in addition to his superb artistic skills, his poems also reflect his daily leisure and negative thoughts.
