Original text:
Golden Tang Li shangyin
I want to know why my Jinse has fifty strings, and each string has a youthful interval.
Zhuangzi daydreaming, a saint, was bewitched by butterflies, and cuckoo crowed in the imperial spring.
Mermaids shed pearl-like tears on the moon-green sea, and the blue fields breathed their jade to the sun.
A moment that should last forever? Before I knew it, it had come and gone.
Translation:
Thurben has twenty-five strings, and every string and syllable of it is enough to express the yearning for that wonderful time.
In fact, Zhuang Zhou knew that he was just a butterfly longing for freedom, and hoped that the emperor's beautiful heart and actions could touch Du Fu.
The shadow of the bright moon on the sea turned into tears like pearls. Only then can Lantian in another place produce something as beautiful as smoke.
Those beautiful things and years can only stay in memories. At that time, those people thought those things were just ordinary, but they didn't know how to cherish them.
Appreciate:
Jinse is Li Shangyin's masterpiece and the most profound and implicit one. There have been different opinions about the theme of this poem since ancient times. Most people say "mourning" and "self-injury". This poem "Jinse" is the first two words of the sentence. In the old theory, it was originally thought to be a poem about objects, but the annotator seemed to think that it had nothing to do with the theme of musical instruments, but was an untitled work that used musical instruments to hide the theme.
This poem creatively uses symbols and metaphors to develop the traditional method of metaphor. The inspiration of the first couplet comes from the sad brocade, and the number of strings is related to the length of life. The word "for no reason" feels that life is fleeting. Parallel prose can best embody the characteristics of Li Shangyin's incisive quotations and profound metaphors. Taking "Zhuang Sheng dreams of butterflies" and "cuckoo cries blood" as allusions, the three Chinese characters "Xiao", "Fan" and "Spring" are skillfully designed. "Dawn", also morning, is a metaphor for a person's life when he was young.
"Meng Xiao" is the dream of young people. And "fans" are infatuated, addicted, persistent and can't give up. No matter how beautiful it is, it is just a dream, which seems to contain the poet's self-injury mood. The reason why The Cuckoo Crys for Blood is sad is that with the word "spring", there is the glory of faith. The people of Sri Lanka have passed away, but their spirit will be passed down from generation to generation, so tragic.
The neck clam raises pearls by moonlight, and the aurora begins to shine. Tears, like beads, are natural since ancient times. Jiao Ren's tears turned into pearls, which is also a strange sight in the sea. In the sentence "Lantianhai", the ancients thought that jade had "jade spirit". Under the sunshine, the Jade Spirit rises in Ran Ran. It is beautiful, but it can't be grasped. Like love, like ideal.
The ending couplet adopts rhetorical progressive sentence pattern to strengthen the tone and end the whole poem. "This Feeling" summarizes the feelings expressed: "Memories of Time Past" and "The Year of Thinking of China" echo each other from a distance. "To be treated" means "to be treated", which shows that this melancholy and sad "feeling" has long been lost, and it is difficult to send it away, and it is even more unbearable at this time.
