2. Namtso
Namtso, the second largest saltwater lake in China, is located in central Tibet with an altitude of 4718m. The lake is almost rectangular in shape, with an area of 1.920 square kilometers, a maximum depth of 33 meters and a storage capacity of 76.8 billion cubic meters. It is the highest and largest lake in the world.
In its southeast, it is the main peak of Nyainqentanglha Mountain, with snow all year round. The north is close to the gentle plateau hills, and the vast grassland surrounds the lake. Tianhu is like a huge mirror, embedded in the grassland in northern Tibet.
In the morning, the lake is misty, the mountains around it are looming, the sun rises, the clouds disperse, the breeze blows, and the vast lake ripples. Really like a kind little fairy, waving a plain towel and staring at people. At this time, the main peak of Nyainqentanglha Mountain is particularly clear, with light green pastures, red and black peaks and snow peaks. The main peak guards Namco like a mighty warrior.
The climate in the plateau changes rapidly, sometimes windy and sometimes cloudy. After the storm, the lake is still sparkling. In the evening, the lake is sparkling in the afterglow of the sunset, which is really charming.
3. Yangbajing geothermal hot spring
Soak in the boiling outdoor hot springs on the cold plateau and watch the snowflakes flying all over the sky. Such a wonderful sight must be rare in your life. Yang Jing Geothermal is located in Dangxiong County, 90km northwest of Lhasa, and 7000km away from Fiona Fang. The temperature is maintained at about 47℃, which is the first wet steam field developed in Chinese mainland and the highest geothermal power station in the world.
The number of hot springs in Tibet Plateau ranks first in China. Yang Jing has large fountains and geysers, hot springs, hot springs, hot springs and hot water lakes. There are also the highest water springs in Yang Jing, as well as rare eruptive springs and intermittent hot springs, with a total area of over 7,000 square meters.
The most beautiful time in Yang Jing is every morning. Because of the cold air, there is always white fog around yangbajain geothermal field, and the huge steam mass generated by geothermal fields rises from the lake, just like a fairyland on earth. If you are lucky, you will see hot water gushing out, and you will also see boiling hot springs rushing straight into the sky from the spring, which is very spectacular. The bath is an open-air swimming pool.
Because the water temperature is too high, two outdoor pools are needed to cool down before tourists can take a bath. You can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance. It is really a pleasure to wash hot springs in such an environment. Especially in winter, jumping into hot springs to see the snow all over the sky makes me feel indescribable romance.
