What is the relationship between form and meaning?

Symbol is not a material entity, but a kind of reference or communication, which has the function of expressing opinions on something. Although artistic symbols do not convey or express the concept of something like pure symbols, they convey some emotional concept, that is, "artistic significance." In this way, "form" is the signifier of artistic symbols, and "artistic meaning" is the signified, and their combination constitutes artistic symbols. In the art symbol system, form and meaning are an inseparable whole, "form" is the form of meaning, and "meaning" is the meaning of form. As the signifier of artistic symbol, "form", that is, "artistic image", is a perceptual form in which art reflects social life, and its light, color, sound and shape act on the senses of the viewer, giving people vivid sensory effects. For example, literary image, musical image, dance image, film and television image and so on. The "form" that artistic symbols can refer to also has the arbitrariness of freely choosing symbols. In other words, artists can choose poetry as the symbol system, or painting, music or any other symbol system to express the same theme. This freedom of form choice is a vast world where artistic genius can be brought into play. As an artistic symbol, "Yi", also known as "implication", refers to the aesthetic feeling conveyed by artistic works, or "aesthetic feeling". Many times it can't be expressed in words, that is, it can't be accurately translated into language symbols.
