Dongxi Ancient Town, formerly known as Wanshouchang, was built in the Tang Dynasty, more than 300 years ago/kloc-0. In 2005, Dongxi Ancient Town was named as a famous historical and cultural town in Chongqing. Ding Dong River, Fulin River and Qihe River meet here, and more than 3,000 kudzu trees are densely distributed to form the largest kudzu tree group in southwest China. Together with the houses with hanging feet in Ming and Qing dynasties, it forms a quiet artistic conception of "a small bridge with flowing water"
It has always been a sketch place for teachers and students of the Academy of Fine Arts, and also a location shooting place for the TV series "Stupid Teacher". The ancient town is rich in cultural landscape and beautiful in natural scenery, which can be summarized as two stones, two monuments, three palaces, three temples and three waterfalls.
These two stones are tortoise stone and sacred stone; The two monuments are "Love My Legacy" and "Nanping Liao" respectively; The three palaces are Nanhua Palace, Wanshou Palace and Wantong Palace. These three temples are Kannonji, Huang Yu Temple and Zhenhai Wangye Temple. These three waterfalls are the Great Jinyindong Waterfall and the Taiping Bridge Waterfall.
