What is the theme of the poem "In the Mountains" written by Wang Bo?

This is a poem about homesickness, probably written by Wang Bo when he went to Bashu after he was dismissed from his post. The first half of this poem is a couplet. The poet compared "Wan Li" to "the Yangtze River", which is a geographical description of being far away from home in a foreign land. Understanding "going home" as "staying behind" is a concept of time, which is used to describe the situation that tourists stay behind for a long time without going home. The words "sadness" and "missing" in the two sentences are used to point out the feelings and wishes arising from the above situation. The second half of the poem is a passing scene, with the late autumn scenery of "windy night" and "yellow leaves dancing" in front of us. Literally, it may be interpreted as a sigh that I have been on the Yangtze River for a long time. What can be witnessed are "A wandering prodigal son is tired of Jiang Gan" in his poem A Farewell, and "Fog Cage on the River" and "Why Stay Long" in four other poems. But if read with the following sentence "Wan Li", the poet may still think of Wan Li in the Yangtze River, and there is still a long journey. This poem is similar to Du Fu's poem "river of no return, the wandering sun and the moon are long" and Xie Mao's famous sentence "The river flows day and night, and the guest is sad". Here, the understanding of "Yangtze River" and "stagnant water" and "great river" and "great river" can vary from person to person, that is, the so-called "poetry is inconclusive". The second sentence "Wan Li must return when he misses" seems to come from Song Yu's Nine Arguments, and there are at least two different interpretations of "sending back" in Nine Arguments: one is the person who will return when he leaves; One is to bid farewell to the old times. Regarding the "going home" in this poem, if we look at the other farewell poems mentioned above, such as Farewell, Four Other Poems and Selected Works of Wang Zi, we can adopt the previous explanation. If you look at the second half of this poem, you can also take the latter explanation. However, if the word "year" in this sentence is linked, it is better to treat the explanation as homesickness. That is to say, the word "return" in this sentence, like the word "delayed" in the previous sentence, depends on people who are far away from home, that is, the poet himself. But there is also a saying that it seems reasonable that the word "has stagnated" in the previous sentence is regarded as a stranger in a foreign land. This is another example of "poetry fails to convey its meaning". Three or four sentences "The situation is high and the wind is late, the mountains are yellow and the leaves are flying", and the real scene seen by the poet in the mountains also contains the artistic conception from the two sentences "Sad autumn is also angry, bleak vegetation is fading away" in Nine Arguments. As far as the whole poem is concerned, these two sentences are not only used to reflect homesickness, but also to compare the poet's desolate mood and wandering situation. Of course, this comparison has a distance. At the same time, at the end of the article, the sentence of "mountain yellow leaves fly" is arranged, and the writing is also based on scenery. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Shen Yifu said in "Yuefu Finger Fan": "Every sentence should be put, with endless meanings. Scenery is the best way to combine feelings. "The conclusion of this poem is profound and intriguing. Poetry is often a combination of lyricism and scenery description in art, and it is intertwined. Xie Zhen in the Ming Dynasty said in "Four Poems": "Poetry focuses on emotion and scenery ... scenery is the medium of poetry, and emotion is the embryo of poetry. They are combined into poetry. "This poem, when he climbs the mountain near the water, he wants to see things with me. When writing thoughts, he wants to write the scenery with love. So the scenery written in the second half must be the embryo of the first half. Emotion and scenery in poetry interact, penetrate each other and blend into one. The homesickness in the first half is enriched by the touch of the late autumn scenery. In the second half of the poem, the wind blows the leaves off, which also strengthens its appeal because of the injection of homesickness. Wang Bo also wrote a poem "Ji Chun": "It's a long journey, but once in spring. Also hurt the North Garden, and see the fallen flowers flying. "The rhythm of this poem is exactly the same as that of In the Mountains, and it also expresses Ji Chun's thoughts, except that a poem was written in late spring.
