Thoughts:

When I close my eyes at this moment, I seem to I can see the scene thousands of years ago again. King David returned from victory riding on a fine horse, surrounded by soldiers cheering for victory and jubilant people. The boys blew the trumpets and the girls played the tambourines. They gathered around the king and sang this victory song.

They cheered for victory and sang songs of victory, not because of how many enemies they had destroyed or how much land they had expanded, but because Jehovah God had performed His deeds and demonstrated His glorious power. . They were filled with joy because they saw Jehovah’s deeds, and they were even more hopeful for the future because they experienced the majesty of the Most High!

Oh dear Lord, how I wish I could cheer to you like this and sing a song of victory to you. But Lord, tears often drown out my cheering voice, and sadness often chokes my singing throat. Because if I don’t experience your power, how can I cheer for you? If I don’t witness your victory, how can I sing the song of victory!

Oh dear Lord, please show your deeds in my humble life, not to take away my suffering, not to fulfill my dreams, but to enable others to know me. You are truly the Most High! So that together we can sing hymns to your holy name and shout victorious shouts to you!

Prayer:

May the Lord enable me to experience your reality more, so that I can praise and sing your praises more.

Amen!
