Appreciation of Du Fu's Calligraphy Works
The word "Shen" or "Sheng" in the second sentence of the original text is still controversial in academic circles. Chen Menglei, the editor of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, wrote in the book Dust of Ancient and Modern Books that "there are people in the depths of white clouds". Ming Guan guang published this book, and Song compiled Ten Thousand Tang Poems as "There are people in the depths of white clouds". Qing Qianlong's Siku Quanshu has two versions. For example, Three Hundred Tang Poems compiled by Gao Chun in Ming Dynasty and All Tang Poems by Ding Yu are "There are people in the depths of white clouds", while 10,000 Tang Poems compiled by Mai are "there are people". In some textbooks, this poem has also been changed from "someone in the depths of the white clouds" to "someone in Bai Yunsheng" now, and it is stated in the notes that "the place where students live is where they live" * * * The textbooks used should prevail in the exam. 1994, the Ministry of Education re-edited The Grand Dictionary of Mandarin as "There are people in the depths of white clouds".

The road is made by people, so the white clouds are ethereal, and Hanshan is full of vitality, so the sentence "There are people in Bai Yunsheng" is logical. Du Mu's personal introduction

Born in a famous family, his grandfather Du You was a famous prime minister and historian in the middle Tang Dynasty. In his later years, Du Mu lived in Fan Chuan Villa in the south of Chang 'an, which was later called "Du Weizi" and "Du Fanchuan". Du Mu lived all his life in the late Tang Dynasty, when domestic troubles and foreign invasion deepened. He was concerned about state affairs since he was a child, and he cherished the ideal of saving the peril and restoring the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty. At the age of 23, he wrote A Gong Fang Fu, taking the abuse of power and extravagance in the Qin Dynasty as a warning, which sounded the alarm for the rulers of this dynasty. Together with Li Shangyin, they are called Du Xiaoli.
