Ancient poems sent by the Yellow Crane Tower to Meng Haoran

The Yellow Crane Tower Farewell to Meng Haoran in Yangzhou is one of the masterpieces of Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty. This is a farewell poem. Li Bai loves Meng Haoran very much. This time he said goodbye and felt sorry for himself. But although it is a farewell work, it is elegant and smart, affectionate but not stagnant, meaningful but not sad, beautiful but not floating, and far-reaching rhyme.

My old friend resigned from the Yellow Crane Tower,

Fireworks fell in Yangzhou in March.

Lonely sails, distant shadows, blue sky,

Only the Yangtze River flows in the sky.

My old friend said goodbye to me at the Yellow Crane Tower and went to Yangzhou in March when the flowers were blooming. The shadow of the solitary sail is far away and fades away in the blue sky. You can only see the mighty Yangtze River flowing to the horizon.
