2. Lin Yutang (Lehe and Yutang, 1895 10 101976 March 26th), born in Longxi, Fujian (now Zhangzhou), graduated from Leipzig University and is a famous modern writer in China. Nominated by Nobel Prize in Literature twice in 1940 and 1950. He founded The Analects of Confucius, Life on Earth, Wind of the Universe and other publications. 1967 was hired as a research professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and presided over the compilation of Lin Yutang's Contemporary Chinese-English Dictionary. 1976 died in Hong Kong at the age of 80.
3. Lin Yutang introduced the philosophical thoughts of Confucius, Mencius, Laozi and Zhuangzi and the literary works of Tao Yuanming, Li Bai, Su Dongpo and Cao Xueqin overseas. Lin Yutang was the first writer in China who wrote in English, and he was also a famous scholar who was a linguist, philosopher and writer. Lin Yutang was nominated by Nobel Prize in Literature in 1940, 1950 and 1975.
