Tian Han's life story

1898 March 12, born in a poor peasant family in Tianjia section, Mao Ping, dongxiang county, Hunan;

19 12, studying in Changsha Normal School;

19 16, admitted to Tokyo Normal University, Japan;

19 19 joined the Young China Society organized by Li Dazhao in Tokyo and began to publish poems and comments;

1920 published the first novel "Van Irene and the Rose";

1922, after returning to China, he was employed by the editorial office of Zhonghua Book Company in Shanghai;

1924, he and his wife, Yi Shuyu, founded Southland, a bimonthly magazine. Later, he taught in Changsha First Normal University, Shanghai University and Daxia University.

1926, South China Film and Drama Club was established in Shanghai, Tang Huaiqiu.

At the beginning of 1938, he and Ma edited and published the semi-monthly Anti-Japanese War Drama, and then went to Changsha to organize the Anti-Japanese War Daily. In February, he went to Wuhan to attend the Third Hall of the Political Department of the Military Commission of the National Government, responsible for art propaganda. Together with Hong Shen, he formed 10 anti-Japanese drama teams, 4 anti-Japanese propaganda teams and 1 children's drama groups.

1940, he went to Chongqing, and together with Ou Yangyuqian, he founded the drama Chunqiu. Later, he went to Guilin to lead the formation of New China Drama Club and folk anti-Japanese drama clubs such as Peking Opera and xiang opera.

1944 spring, hosted the first drama exhibition in southwest China with Ou Yangyuqian and others, which promoted the unity of the drama team and adhered to the progressive drama movement;

After 1949, Tian Han was appointed as the director of the Drama Improvement Bureau and the Art Bureau of the Ministry of Culture;

1968, persecuted to death during the Cultural Revolution;
