Excerpts from Tagore's poems

I run in the shade like a musk deer, and I am crazy about my fragrance. The night is in mid-May, and the breeze is the breeze in the south.

I lost my way, I wandered. The image of my own wishes emerged from my heart and danced. The flashing image passed by.

I tried to hold on to it, but it dodged and caused me to fly away. I pursue what I can't get, and I get what I don't pursue.

Commentary: Translation comes from Bing Xin. Before explaining, I want to repeat what I want to emphasize: "I ask for what I can't get, and I get what I don't ask for." In order to understand this poem easily, it has been processed.

First of all, the first sentence and the second sentence of the first paragraph correspond to the ideal and reality respectively. In the ideal, we always live too much and overestimate ourselves. Of course, reality is still reality, without exception, nothing has changed.

In the second paragraph, I started my journey with a full ideal, which is divorced from reality, or runs counter to my plan, just as Sun Tzu said in the Art of War, "There are many chances to win, but there are few chances to win, but it is better to have none!"

In the third paragraph, I am young and energetic, and I still stick to my own ideas. Of course, as the author said, on this rich and rugged road of life, my ideal goal is getting farther and farther away from reality.

The last sentence is a turning point and the core idea of the whole article: "I beg for what I can't get, what I can't get."

On the way of pursuing, I got something I never thought of, but the pursuit that should belong to me is as elusive as Confucius' "The sun is high and the drill is strong".

The overall feeling after reading Tagore's poems: If you encounter something that cannot be changed, try to think and analyze it from a different angle and mentality, and you will get different results.

Sometimes your feelings may really just stay on the "feeling". If the current reality makes you feel terrible, try to change your perspective and mentality, and maybe you can have the beauty of "mountains and heavy waters have no way to answer doubts, and the future is bright." My friend, your smile is priceless.
