The emperor shunzhi became a monk. What does this poem mean? I want to elaborate.

The jungle is like a mountain, and there are alms bowls everywhere for you to eat.

Gold and white jade are not expensive, but the cassock is the hardest!

There are mountains of food in jungle temples all over the world. As long as you hold a alms bowl, you can enjoy it at will. Neither gold nor white jade are rare and precious things. It is the noblest and most rare choice in the world to be a monk in a robe.

The Chinese Book of Sorrow and Music says: "In the past, the Buddha made a wish: If the people wearing four-fingered cassock in my teaching method didn't get what they wanted, then I cheated the Buddha, so I couldn't become a Buddha." Another cloud said, "Everyone at home is working hard on nails, and I am a monk, and I have no poverty all my life."

Thanks to the support of Buddha Sakyamuni, there are many ancient temples, jungles and monasteries scattered on the land between heaven and earth, in which monks and monks enjoy a comfortable life carefree. Although it is a simple meal, it is also flashy; Although this is a "bad dress", it is better than the red Huang Zhi robe of the imperial court.

Monks only need to hold the alms bowl in their hands, so they can travel and go to school at will. The so-called "a bowl of rice, traveling alone in Wan Li." It vividly depicts the free life of a monk. How free and easy, how carefree, how can you not be envied and longed for, how can you not be fascinated? !

However, the world's money worshippers who take "money first" as the criterion regard gold and white jade as the omnipotent holy spirit. However, we should be soberly aware that gold and white jade can only buy short-term material enjoyment, but can't buy healthy body, sincere friendship, harmonious family ties and sound mentality, and can't buy kindness, peace of mind, happiness in the afterlife and eternal liberation. If money is everything, why do rich people go to the grave in unbearable illness? If money is everything, why would a billionaire star give up his precious life under a skyscraper? If money is everything, why do the bosses of multinational groups die of hatred in the assassination of their opponents? ……

The all-knowing, spotless and noble man said, "I am the master of the three realms for several generations, and I only wear my robe in this world." Although we have been reincarnated as the Lord of the Three Realms for many generations in the process of circular reincarnation, there are few opportunities to wear cassock. Therefore, from the monk's point of view, the most precious thing in the world is the cassock.

The word "cassock" is a transliteration of Sanskrit Kasdya, which can also be written as "cassock", meaning that the color is not good. Because the frock avoids the use of eight orthochromatic colors (including orange in Huang Dan, dark blue in sky blue, purple in rouge, vermilion in cinnabar, purple yellow in safflower, dark red in madder, yellow-black in licorice, dark yellow in red hibiscus), it is named after the use of unhealthy colors such as green, yellow, red and blue, so it is also called hook coat.
