Introduction:
Ningjin, formerly known as TONYYOND, was renamed Ningjin in the first year of Tang Tianbao (742) after more than 2,800 years since Shi Yang was founded in the Spring and Autumn Period.
In the Qing Dynasty, the main streets in the county were North-South Street and East-West Street, and there were four small streets and five hutongs in the south of the city. There are three small streets and four hutongs in the northwest; There are three small streets and three hutongs in the southeast; There are five small streets and ten hutongs in the northeast; There are five hutongs in the west.
During the Republic of China, the streets in county towns changed little, and most of them were rugged dirt roads.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were more and more streets in county towns. 1978- 1995. In the county, Huancheng West Road, Yingbin Street, Huancheng South Road, Huancheng North Road, Jiefang Street, Yong 'an Street, Yuecheng Middle Road, Jiuhe Street, Jianshe Street and Station Street have been opened, transformed and widened to Zhifang South Road, Shifang North Road, Gulou East Street and Gulou West Street.
In July, 2004, the "Adjustment and Naming Scheme for Main Streets in Ningjin County" was adopted, and the main streets in the city were renamed.
