An ancient poem about the greenness of the grassland

1. "Farewell to the Ancient Grass in Fude"

Bai Juyi of the Tang Dynasty

The grass grows in Lili Yuan, and the grass dries up every year.

The wildfire cannot be burned out, but the spring breeze blows it again.

The distant fragrance invades the ancient road, and the clear green meets the deserted city.

I sent the king and grandson off again, and the love was full of farewell.

Vernacular translation

The ancient plains are covered with lush green grass, which withers and flourishes year after year.

The fire in the wilderness cannot be burned out, and it breeds everywhere again when the spring breeze blows.

The spring grass in the distance has invaded the ancient road, and the green under the sun is connected to the deserted city.

I am here to see my friends off again, and the luxuriant grass is filled with the feeling of parting.

2. "Chile Song"

Unknown in the north and south

Chile River, at the foot of Yinshan Mountain. The sky is like a dome, covering the four fields.

The sky is blue, the fields are vast, and the grass is blown by the wind, and cattle and sheep can be seen low.

Vernacular translation:

The vast Chile Plain is at the foot of Yinshan Mountain.

The sky is like a huge tent, covering the entire wilderness.

The blue sky stretches as far as the eye can see, and the green fields are endless.

A gust of wind blew by, and the grass fell low, revealing groups of cattle and sheep grazing.
