The second part of the poem is from "philosophers feel depressed" to "ordinary people hope to survive" Xie An stood out from the troubled times and saved half of the precarious Sima Dynasty. In order to show Xie An's great talent, the poet first described how powerful the pre-Qin army led by Fu Jian was. From the "million people" and "like a cloud", we can see that there are many soldiers in the former Qin Dynasty, which is in sharp contrast with the chaotic situation in the Western Jin Dynasty. "Throwing a whip can fill a river" is a description of Fu Jian's arrogance, but it also reflects the strength of the former Qin army from another side. It is under such circumstances that Xie An was ordered at a critical moment, and with his excellent military talents, he defeated the former Qin army at Feishui in one fell swoop, making the "Battle of Feishui" another famous battle in history. The poet also used the word "smile" to outline Xie An's leisurely bearing. On the battlefield, the sword is fierce and abnormal, but Xie An can still face it calmly. This makes people involuntarily think of Zhuge Liang, the wizard of the Three Kingdoms. The Ugly Lu Reveals the Soul, which describes the defeat and flight of the former Qin Dynasty, is in sharp contrast with the arrogance of the former army attacking the Central Plains and Fu Jian, further highlighting Xie An's outstanding record. The victory of this war won the respect and admiration of the people for Xie An, making him immortal and admirable.
The last paragraph of the poem is from "visiting the historic sites in Yecheng" to "being included in Wulingyuan". The poet's eyes returned to reality from history. Xie' andun has a high terrain and few people are noisy. This slightly desolate scene caused the poet to think more. It was here that Wang Xizhi advised Xie An to take the country in peril as his own responsibility, which led to Xie Ansheng's heroic act of saving the people in dire straits at the right time. Wang Xizhi and Xie An are like-minded, just like Wu Tong and Jia She. Their stories, just like the roots left by Cao Hui, have been handed down from generation to generation. Thinking of this history, the poet will naturally contact himself. He never doubted his talent. He believes that if given the chance, he can make immortal achievements like Xie An. However, there is no confidant Rainbow Xizhi around Xie An. He is brilliant but unappreciated, and he has nowhere to go to be depressed. Seen from Xie 'an Wharf, egrets fly over Xiaozhou in spring, and Qinglong Mountain welcomes the rising sun. The natural scenery seen by the poet is full of vitality and hope, and Xie Andun around him is full of lush crops because of his age and the collapse of the tower. This once again made him sigh that fame and fortune can't last forever, so he once again felt that if one day he can make contributions and realize his ambition, he will definitely quit his job and retire to enjoy the rural life.
There is always idealism between the lines of Li Bai's poems and songs. He is eager to make contributions, be appreciated and reused, and serve the country with his own talents. Xie An's feat of drawing the world is his greatest ideal. Therefore, the poet will have so much emotion when climbing Xie Andun. Although there are many disappointments in reality, he still looks forward to the opportunity to establish immortal achievements, which is also the difference between Li Bai and some retired poets. Many talented poets gave up their ideals in the cruel reality, hiding in the Woods and going it alone. Although Li Bai has the idea of returning to Wulingyuan, he still hopes to realize it after "success". This became his lifelong belief and the ultimate theme of most of his poems.
