Classic Zen poetry

The classic Zen poem

The Poem of Smelling Mei and Realizing Tao

The Buddhist monk Tang Endless Tibetan

looks for spring all day long, but he doesn't see it,

The sandals break through the Lingtou Cloud.

When you come back, smile and twist the plum blossoms.

Spring is already in the branches.

Find yourself:

The poet can't find spring, but he comes back in full swing. He didn't know that he suddenly picked plum blossoms and smelled them, only to find that spring was already in full bloom-it was in his own house! Everything is in your heart, and all laws are self-sufficient. If you can't ask for it from outside, you might as well ask for it from yourself.

Come without a trace and go without a trace

Zen master Tang Bird's Nest

Come without a trace and go without a trace,

Go with current events.

Why ask more about floating things?

It's only floating in a dream.

Get rid of the confusion:

Where did people come from when they were born? Where to go after death? Birth and death are the same. No trace. Life is a hundred years, come naked and go naked. Nothing can be left and nothing can be taken away. Life is like a dream, and all laws are empty. If you see through this, you will be comfortable and calm in the face of the troubles of the world.

Offering Flowers to Buddha

Zen master Tang Longya

Looking at the flowers in the morning, the trees are full of red,

Looking at the fallen leaves in the evening, they are still empty.

if you compare flowers with human affairs.

flowers go hand in hand with human affairs.

come and go with fate

it is impermanent for flowers to bloom at dawn and wither at dusk, and so is life and death. There is nothing eternal or unique in the world. Everything depends on karma. As the saying goes, "if we get together, we will succeed, but if we get apart, we will die." Those who meet and know each other must cherish each other.

Song Wu Men Hui Kai Zen Master

There are flowers in spring and moons in autumn,

There is cool wind in summer and snow in winter.

If you don't mind your own business,

it's a good time on earth.

The heart is normal:

Hunger leads to food, so sleep, heat leads to cool, and cold leads to fire. Spring flowers, autumn moon, cool breeze and snow are all natural, and the beauty of the four seasons has its own characteristics, pushing things and people, and people see the beautiful side between heaven and earth. If there is no business to worry about in their hearts, all the year round is a good time for the world!

ode to Awakening the World

Ming Hanshan Deqing

Willow green is only seen in spring, and chrysanthemum yellow is seen in autumn wind.

Glory is always a night dream,

Richness is the same as September frost.

Stay or stay in life:

In spring, willows are full of vitality, but in autumn, chrysanthemums are yellow all over the place. Wealth is as easy to lose as flying frost, and good things can't stay after all. Life is like a play. If you get into the play too deeply and indulge in prosperity, it will be difficult to find your way home until the end of the song.

The Twenty-Seven Poems of Song Dynasty

The temple in Song Dynasty kept clean

The flowing water went down the mountain unintentionally, and

The clouds returned to the cave unintentionally.

If life is like a cloud,

Cycas blooms all over the world in spring.

free and easy:

conform to nature, and get rid of the shackles of fame and fortune like clouds and water. Don't set limits on yourself, live with fate, be at ease, be happy with it, and do what you like. Only in this way can one live freely and freely.
