Why did China's contemporary poetry decline?

Poetry, the quintessence of literature with thousands of years of history, has undoubtedly declined in the contemporary era. Especially since 1990s, China's excellent poems and poets have almost disappeared. Why? I think there are three main reasons:

First, the era of old poetry has passed, and modern poetry has not yet been in line with the new era. The so-called poets, different forms of poetry, are mostly the products of the times, and they are all produced in a specific social background.

Poetry, first produced in the Book of Songs, was sung by people as a ballad at that time, and its authors were mostly working people. In the era of Chu Ci, Qu Yuan was the representative of Sao poetry, which was closely related to various social realities at that time. The country was in war, and the eunuch was in power, but the king loved him. In the era of Han Fu, the ability and potential were combined, and the rhetoric was as gorgeous as Chinese. The Tang Dynasty ushered in the golden age of poetry, which is inseparable from its selection of scholars by poetry. Later, Yuan Qu, a kind of Song Ci, seemed to be a formal transformation. In fact, the evolution of poetry, the Song Dynasty valued literature over martial arts, and the country was at home and abroad. With the expansion of civic culture, there have been novels completely divorced from the literary form of poetry. It was not until modern times, when the empire invaded, the country fell, and the times of tenacious struggle, that the bud of new poetry was born. The setbacks of the Cultural Revolution were finally honed like Bing Xin. A number of new poets such as Xu Zhimo and Xi Murong. Their poems incorporate many elements of western poetry, because modern and contemporary China has gradually gone to the world. As for modernity, poetry has no development direction.

Therefore, the appreciation of contemporary novels Jing M, Han Han and others say that there are no poets after 90. It seems arbitrary, but it has some truth.

Secondly, poetry was neglected by China's education. I think the fate and future of poetry are not in the hands of those who have passed away, but in the hopes of future generations. Unfortunately, however, today's poetry, just as a literary form decoration, is a commemoration of historical glory, becoming an unpredictable fireworks, to dye the vicissitudes of history.

Now just translate the students' papers and look at the requirements of the composition, and you will understand. "In addition to poetry, the style is not limited!" This is the requirement of contemporary education, which requires students to learn poetry and prevents students from learning to write poetry. Do you think there are poets after 90? No matter how education is reformed, writing is an expression of ambition, and poetry is also an expression of ambition. So why is poetry excluded from the style? Did this thick stick kill most contemporary poets?

The reason given by education is that the style of poetry emphasizes refinement and how to do it. . . In short, students don't have the ability to drive this style. So, I mean, are people poets themselves? They also say that young people can only write moaning words when they write poems! Then, I want to ask, what should I write if I don't write poetry, reality, and the voice of the writer and our generation?

Thirdly, poetry has been violently impacted by "commercial literature".

The novels headed by Han Han, represented by Jing Ke and Jing M.Guo, indulge in pleasure and openly challenge the poetry circle. Five rounds of "Great Wars" beat the poet's side out of the water, and then walked away. I wonder why they don't chase after victory, but they say, "It's always bad to step on people!" " "What else?

They are worthy of being wise men in modern literature, and they are fully prepared for this battle. With the support of commercial media, they have United so many fans and admirers with the hands of thousands of people in Qian Qian and the mouths of thousands of people in Qian Qian. Can they stand failure?

I wonder why they crowd out these poets again and again. Their novels are popular all over the country, and they are limited editions, regardless of value! For these unknown students, as well as these whiny words, you should be dismissive!

On the contrary, it makes the poetry world restless, and these "realists" are complaining about poetry! They are telling the world what poetry is and what real literature is! Look at Han Han's poem "Go" and you will know what poetry is. That is really a subtle and unique new poem! Look at their novels that criticize reality, and you will know what real literature is. They can cater to the spiritual needs of most young people in China!

These three reasons are the simplest, even if I don't have wise eyes. The decline of China's contemporary poetry is obvious. Imagine, one hundred years later, poetry has become a glorious history of China! In other words, this will be the sorrow of an era!
