Lyrics and Music of Singing the Motherland

Ode to the Motherland

Lyrics: Wang Xin

Music: Wang Xin

Singing: stars

Lyrics:

The five-star red flag fluttered in the wind, and the song of victory was so loud.

Sing our dear motherland, and move towards prosperity and strength from now on.

Sing our dear motherland, and move towards prosperity and strength from now on.

Over mountains, over plains

Across the rushing Yellow River and Yangtze River, a vast and beautiful land.

It is our dear hometown, and the heroic people have stood up.

We are United and friendly, as strong as steel, and the five-star red flag flutters in the wind.

How loud the song of victory is, singing about our dear motherland.

From now on, we will be prosperous and sing about our dear motherland.

From now on to prosperity, we are hardworking.

We are brave, independent and free.

How many hardships have we overcome before we are liberated today?

We love peace and we love our hometown.

Anyone who dares to disobey us is called death, and the five-star red flag flutters in the wind.

How loud the song of victory is, singing about our dear motherland.

From now on, we will be prosperous and sing about our dear motherland.

From then on to prosperity, the sun of the East

Is rising, and the people and the country are growing.

Our leader Mao Zedong guides the way forward.

Our life is getting better every day, and our future is bright.

The five-star red flag fluttered in the wind, and the song of victory was so loud.

Sing our dear motherland, and move towards prosperity and strength from now on.
