What kind of poem is a pirate?

Pirates is a long romantic poem written in heroic style. Byron vividly described a pirate named Conrad's heroic struggle to defend his home on an island in the Aegean Sea. Conrad, the hero in the poem, is a strong-willed and fearless hero, but he is also an arrogant and cruel pirate leader. He and his friends lived a hard and free life on the island for many years. Knowing that the Turkish officer Saeed was going to invade their island, Conrad resolutely left his lover and joined Saeed's German army, ready to launch a mutiny. After the incident was captured, he finally escaped from the enemy camp and returned to the island after a witty and brave struggle. But his lover died of grief because he listened to the rumor of being killed. Since then, Conrad has also disappeared on the island.

Don Juan is one of Byron's most outstanding achievements in his life. This long narrative poem with great momentum, superb views and outstanding art is rare in the history of world literature. This long poem perfectly combines romanticism and realism. The story begins in a broad social and historical background and ends with a series of conspiracy events. The poet commented extensively on the disadvantages of Europe and exposed the disadvantages of civilized society. There are descriptions of nature, incisive comments on various phenomena in the world, and satire and ridicule of reality. The whole poem is magnificent, smooth and ups and downs, and contains rich thoughts in exquisite artistic form. Shelley once praised: "There has never been such a work in English." Goethe even thought Don Juan was a masterpiece of genius.
