Psalm 8 praises God for exalting the world.

1, Lord our Lord! How beautiful your name is in all the land! You show your glory to the sky.

2. Because of the enemy, you built up your own strength from the mouth of babies and sucklings, so that both the enemy and the revenger were silent.

I looked at the sky made by your fingers and the moon and stars you placed.

4. Then he said, What is a man, and you care about him? What do you care about his world?

You call him a little smaller than an angel (or "God") and crown him with glory and honor.

6-8, you ask him to be in charge of what your hands have made, so that all cattle and sheep, wild animals, birds in the air and fish in the sea are under his feet.

9. Lord, our Lord! How beautiful your name is in all the land!
