Our heavenly father:
May everyone sanctify your name.
May your kingdom come.
May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us our daily food today.
Forgive our debts,
Just like we forgive others' debts.
Don't let us be tempted.
Save us from evil.
Because kingdom, power and glory will always belong to you.
Amen.
In this prayer, the first sentence of Jesus is "Our Father in heaven". Jesus called the God who created the universe, heaven and earth and human beings our heavenly father. Perhaps, when we hear this sentence, we will feel very fresh, unhappy and even strange. But in the Bible, the Bible describes that God just wants to be close to the human beings he created. Because God created human beings, he is willing to be close to them. God sent Jesus Christ into the world to crucify, sacrifice, bleed, suffer and lay down his life for the world, proving that God loves us, wants to be close to us and be our father in heaven.
The Bible describes God as the Father, which makes us understand that God will listen to our prayers. Jesus set up the prayer "Lord's Prayer" to let his disciples know that God, like a loving father, likes to listen to children's prayers.
My friend, I also hope that you often pray, call God your heavenly father, express your praise and gratitude to God, and tell him everything that is deepest in your heart.
God bless you.
