Bai Juyi used to be the secretariat of Hangzhou, so we can know where this is about.

Bai Juyi's happiness when he saw the scenery in early spring and his love for the scenery of Qiantang River were written, which expressed the author's love for the beauty of nature.

Spring outing in Qiantang is a famous work by Bai Juyi, a poet in Tang Dynasty. This poem was written by Bai Juyi when he was the secretariat of Hangzhou. It is a seven-character poem describing the West Lake in Hangzhou.

The spring outing of Qiantang Lake is also a short game record. Bai Juyi wrote about Bai Juyi's happiness when he saw the scenery in early spring and his love for the scenery of Qiantang River, expressing the author's love for the beauty of nature. When Bai Juyi took office as the secretariat of Hangzhou, it was during the drought in Hangzhou that Qiantang Lake had been seriously silted up, and the fertile land was "tens of hectares", and the water storage capacity was greatly reduced.

Therefore, Bai Juyi decided to harness Qiantang Lake by "heightening it a few feet" on the old lake embankment (outside Qiantang Gate, which connects with the eastern end of Bai Causeway from east to west, equivalent to the foot of today's Baoshi Mountain) to increase the storage capacity of Qiantang Lake.

Construction of canals in the two lakes to discharge flood and ensure the safety of lake dikes, and dredging of six wells opened by Li Mi. After the completion of the whole project, it not only expanded the water source for the Jiangnan Canal, but also ensured the irrigation of hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland on both sides of the canal between Qiantang and Yan Guan (now Haining), and relieved the worries of Hang Cheng residents about domestic water, killing two birds with one stone.

After Bai Juyi managed the West Lake, he specially wrote the Stone Story of Qiantang River as the secretariat, carved stones by the lake, elaborated the function, use and management methods of building the lake embankment in detail, and earnestly warned future generations about matters needing attention.

When Bai Juyi harnessed Qiantang Lake (now West Lake) in Hangzhou, he personally organized the construction of a lake embankment, adding a few feet to the original lake embankment, which was called "Baigong Dike". Today's Bai Causeway was called Baishadi. In memory of Bai Juyi, future generations are willing to accept the misinformation of Bai Causeway today, that is, Bai Gongdi.
