Appreciation of Luo Yin's ancient poem Bee

Bee is an object-chanting poem written by Luo Yin, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty, and it is also a poem with profound meaning. This poem praises the noble character of bee's hard work, and also implies the author's hatred and dissatisfaction with people who get something for nothing. This poem has several characteristics of artistic expression: it wants to seize the past and give it, but it is powerful; Narrating backchat, singing sigh and feeling; The meaning is profound and can be interpreted in two ways.

Appreciation of Bee

Bees and butterflies became the symbols of charm in the poet's works. However, the little bee is different from Hua Hudie after all. It has worked hard for making honey all its life, accumulating a lot and enjoying little. Focusing on this point, the poet Luo Yin wrote such an "animal story" with profound feelings. Its meaning alone is refreshing. There are three points worthy of attention in the artistic expression of this poem:

First, if you want to seize the past, you will fall back forcefully. This poem focuses on the feelings of the last two sentences, giving the bee a lifetime of business, except for "hard work" and nothing. However, the first two sentences are almost boastful, saying that no matter whether it is plain fields or mountains, wherever flowers bloom, they are the territory of bees, and bees appear. Here, the author uses extreme adverbs, adjectives such as "no matter", "infinite" and "exhausted", and unconditional sentences, saying that bees "occupy all the scenery" seems to contradict the theme. In fact, this is just a way of saying the opposite, trying to seize the reason, and putting on airs for the last two sentences As the saying goes: if you lift it high, you will fall heavily. Therefore, the last two sentences are a reversal of the first two sentences, saying that bees gather flowers into honey, and I don't know who owns it. If the word "occupy" is swept away, the expression effect will be stronger. If you put pen to paper from the beginning, it will not be so powerful.

second, the narrative backchat, singing sigh sentient beings. This poem adopts the technique of narration and discussion, but the discussion is not clearly issued, but it is said in a rhetorical tone. The first two sentences focus on narration, and the last two sentences focus on discussion. In the last two sentences, there are three main narratives and four main discussions. "Picking a hundred flowers" means "hard work", and the word "becoming honey" means "sweet". However, due to the difference between the main narrative and the main discussion, the last two sentences have the meaning of repetition and have no sense of repetition. Originally, the rhetorical sentence only meant: for whom are you sweet and willing to work hard? But it is divided into two questions: "who are you working hard for?" "Sweet for whom"? Also repeated and not repeated. It is obvious that hard work belongs to oneself and sweetness belongs to others. Repeated chanting makes people feel deeply moved. The poet is full of pity.

third, the meaning is far and deep, which can be interpreted in two ways. This poem captures the characteristics of bees, without affectation, painting or rhetoric. Although it is plain and thoughtful, it enables readers to learn something from this "animal story" and feel that it contains feelings of life. Some people say that this poem is really a sigh of the world's efforts to benefit the rich; Some people think that bees are used to praise hard-working workers, while those exploiters who get something for nothing are mercilessly satirized. The two solutions will seem to be at odds, but in fact they are both allowed. Because there are two kinds of "fable" poems: one is that the author makes metaphors for some kind of preaching, and the meaning is simple and certain; The other is that the author looks at things with strong feelings, making things look like people, which can also draw lessons, but the "meaning" is not so simple and certain. In such a poem, the author probably saw the shadow of the bitter life at that time from the "story" of the bee, but he only wrote down the "story" without directly preaching or concrete comparison, and the image created was more flexible. In real life, there are different meanings of bitter life, which are similar to bees in two main ways: one is the so-called "there is not much bitterness in the end, and the eyes are closed for a long time" ("A Dream of Red Mansions"); One is "hoeing?" Invasion of the stars "and" to the head of the millet belongs to others. " This enables readers to have different understandings in two senses. However, with the progress of the times, the glory of labor has become a universal concept, and "bee" has become a symbol of virtue. When people read Luo Yin's poem, they naturally tend to be more inclined to the latter. It can be seen that the meaning of "fable" is not static, and the ancient "fable" will also be new with each passing day.
