Introduction to the work:
This book is for Jung to explain to ordinary readers his greatest insight into the human mind: the importance of symbols, especially those appearing in dreams. Readers can see from this book that dreams are regarded as direct, personal and meaningful communication to dreamers. With examples or contemporary art explanations, this book reveals the characteristics and functions of dreams, explores the symbolic significance of modern art, and reveals the psychological consciousness in daily life. Through many simple explanations, readers can better understand Jung's thoughts.
Carl jung (1875- 196 1) is a Swiss psychologist. 1907 began to cooperate with Freud to develop and popularize psychoanalysis, which lasted for six years. Later, he disagreed with Freud's point of view, parted ways, founded Jung's psychological theory of personality analysis, put forward the concept of "complex", divided personality into introversion and extroversion, and advocated that personality should be divided into three layers: consciousness, individual unconsciousness and collective unconsciousness. He was the president of the International Psychoanalytic Society and the International Psychotherapy Association, and founded the Jungian Institute of Psychology. 196 1 passed away in Switzerland on June 6th, and his theories and thoughts still have a far-reaching impact on psychological research.
