Youzhou Tower [1]

Chen Ziang [2]

No one can see the ancient wisdom of the ancient king, only those wise men who can't see the afterlife can see it. I think of heaven and earth, there is no limit, there is no end [3], I am alone, tears fell down [4].

To annotate ...

This poem was written in the first year of Long Live Tian Tong (696). Due to the rebellion of Qidan, Wu Zetian ordered Jian Wang to lead an army to crusade against Qidan, who was an army staff officer. Wu Youyi was born in a famous family and knew nothing about the military, which led to the former army falling into a trap. Chen Ziang put forward a strange plan, but it was not adopted. He couldn't bear to see the danger, and a few days later he remonstrated, which angered Wu Youyi and was demoted to sergeant. With grief and indignation, he climbed the Jibei Tower and wrote this song "Youzhou Tower" which shocked the world. Youzhoutai: Jibei Building, also known as Yantai and Huang Jintai, is located in the southwest of Beijing today. According to legend, during the Warring States Period, Yan Zhaowang was a place of national humiliation. He adopted Guo Kun's suggestion, built a high platform in Ji Cheng, the Yan Dou, which was gilded and recruited talents from all over the world, and finally got Le Yi and others to make the country prosperous. [2] Chen Ziang (66 1-702), a famous poet in the early Tang Dynasty, was born in Shehong, Zizhou (now Shehong County, Sichuan Province) and was a scholar in the first year of Tang Ruizong civilization (684). In poetry, he flaunted the style of Han and Wei, and opposed the extravagant style of Qi and Liang. Among his poems, 38 sentimental poems are the most outstanding, and their poetic style is simple and vigorous, which is highly praised by later poets such as Du Fu, Han Yu and Yuan Haowen. [3] Generally, the "ancients" and "newcomers" are interpreted as monarchs who treat virtuous men and women like Yan Zhaowang. Judging from the overall meaning of this poem, it seems more accurate to interpret it as a "hero" (including Yan Zhaowang and Le Yi). ). [4] Chuchuran: sad face. Tears: tears.

point out

Chen Ziang has always been self-righteous about his ability to govern the country. When his career is frustrated, he often writes about his feelings. Li Sao and Youzhou Tower are widely circulated. Although this poem was published because of unexpected talent, it can transcend personal gains and losses and look back at the universe with a proud and lonely personality. It has a strong sense of loneliness, strong self-confidence and heroism, and its meaning is quite rich.

From the artistic point of view, although these four sentences are empty lyrical, they have swept the world and created a proud and heroic poet image. This heroic image indicates the coming of "the voice of the prosperous Tang Dynasty", which can still impress readers after thousands of years.
