The difference between long sentences and short sentences

Different modifiers, different sentence structures and different modification effects.

1. Modifiers are different: the reason why long sentences look shorter is mainly because the modifiers used are more and more complex, and there are more prefix words for the three main components, subject, predicate and object, while the attributive, adverbial and complement components are longer.

2. Different sentence structures: The structural forms of long sentences generally include four situations: first, there are many modifiers, second, there are many joint components, third, the structure of a certain component is complex, and fourth, there are many levels of clause structure. The structure of short sentences often has only a simple subject-predicate object, and the structure is simple, so the complexity or simplicity of the structure is the key method to distinguish long and short sentences.

3, the modification effect is different: long sentences are thoughtful, rigorous and meticulous, short sentences are concise, vivid and powerful.
