Manas is a famous hero and leader in Kirgiz legend, and he is the embodiment of strength, courage and wisdom. The epic tells the story of eight generations of Manas family leading Kirgiz people to resist the plunder and slavery of foreign rulers and strive for freedom and happiness. The epic * * * is divided into eight parts, with Manas's name as the total name of the whole epic, and the other parts are named after the hero of the epic. Each epic is an independent chapter, telling the story of a generation of heroes, and each part is interrelated, so that the whole poem constitutes a complete organism. The whole epic is more than 230,000 lines long and * * * 20 million words.
The greatest feature of Manas is the depiction of characters and scenes. In addition to the protagonist Manas and his descendants, there are more than 100 characters in the epic, including wise elders who support Manas, close comrades who support Manas, Karma Khan, shameless traitors, evil demons and so on. There are dozens of large-scale battles in the epic, not to mention all kinds of weapons. Just the hero's mount has more than 30 colors.
