The Three Lis of the Tang Dynasty: Li Bai, Li He, and Li Shangyin. Li Bai was a leading poet in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and Li He and Li Shangyin were poets in the late Tang Dynasty respectively. Li Bai is regarded as a romantic, unrestrained, and spiritual genius, and his poems have become eternal masterpieces. Li He is often called the "Poetry Ghost". He has a unique approach to art. His poems are obscure in meaning and strange in style. Li Shangyin's poems are among the most melodious and difficult to interpret among classical poems. His poems are subtle and suggestive, often expressing lingering love affairs in a tortuous way, which is quite "hazy". Sanli was not very successful in his life. They were all romantic poets, unconventional and unique.
