Wang Shouren, whose name is Bo 'an, is nicknamed Yangming, so it is called Wang Yangming in history. He is from Yuyao County, Shaoxing Prefecture, Zhejiang Province, and now he is from Yuyao City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He was a famous thinker, philosopher, calligrapher, strategist and educator in Ming Dynasty.
In the twelfth year of Hongzhi, Wang Shouren served as the minister of punishments, the secretariat of Cheng Yi in Longchang, Guizhou, the magistrate of Luling, the governor of Youdu, the governor of Gannan and the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi. In his later years, he worked as an official in Nanjing Ministry of War and served as a viceroy in Douchayuan. Later, he was awarded the title of Xinbo for his exploits such as quelling the rebellion in Chen Hao, and was posthumously awarded the title of Marquis in Qin Long.
And, Confucius, Mencius and Zhu are also called Confucius, Mencius, Zhu and Wang. Moreover, his academic thoughts spread to Japan, the Korean Peninsula and other countries, and there were many students and disciples, so he was called Yaojiang School.
Wang Shouren also has many glorious deeds in the military. He put down the rebellion of Wang Ning, the rebellion of four fields and the rebellion of Zhu Kiln, wiped out the thieves who had been in Gannan and was made a civilian. Moreover, Wang Shouren's achievements in literature are not low, including Wang Shouren's masterpiece Lu Lv Wen and Tian Tiao Showing the Life of Dragon Field in Ancient Chinese Literature. Later, Wang Shouren integrated the theory of mind and nature into calligraphy, enriching China and calligraphy theory. In addition, he also left poems such as beginning of spring, essays such as Lu and Mao Xian, Sanqu Hermit and so on. His works include The Book of Public Rights of Wang Wencheng, also known as The Complete Works of Yangming, and other works.
