In 1848, the revolution of Romanian principalities promoted the prosperity of literature, thus opening the curtain of modern Romanian literature. Filimon (1819 ~ 1865)' s New and Old Landlords', which describes the oppression of the people by the feudal class in the early 19th century, is the first Romanian novel. Negruti (188 ~ 1868)' s historical novel Alexandru Lapshnanu describes the struggle between the monarch of the Principality of Moldova Lapshnanu and the reactionary aristocrats in the mid-16th century. The historical drama of Bo Bi Hashdeou (1838 ~ 197) exposed the darkness of feudal society. Ann Paine (1796 ~ 1854)' s Unique Poems or People's Songs and Proverbs or Folk Stories creatively compiled folk songs, proverbs, stories and riddles that were circulated at that time, reflecting the author's great sympathy for the poor and hatred for the rich. The poems of Di Bolindianu (1819 ~ 1872), Che Boljak (1813 ~ 1881), Yi Hai Radulescu (182 ~ 1872) and Ge Alecsandrescu (181 ~ 1885) marked that Romanian literature entered a romantic period. Wa Alek Sandri (1821 ~ 189) loved folk literature, and the folk song Mioricha and the folk story about the outlaw hero Tomma Ali Moshe were collected and arranged by him. His Awakening in Romania (1843) and Our Soldiers (1871-1878) showed patriotic thoughts.
