How many poems are there in Ode to the Lord?

1, the new king (also called listening! Angels sang loudly, and the song of praise to the Lord was written by Charles Wesley and included in his 1739 edition of Methodist poetry.

Because the lyrics are very classic and full of theological meaning, Mendelssohn later composed music for this song. The first sentence was originally "Listen! The sky echoed with golden bells. " Whitefly helped us a lot by changing the first lyric to "Listen! Angels sing loudly. " The first half of our concert ended with this song and included an Irish spin dance (I don't think Wesley and Mendelssohn will appreciate Irish dance).

2. Our longing for Jesus (Life PsalmNo. 1 16) first appeared in Eighteen Christmas Carols published by Charles Wesley in 1745, which is also one of my three favorite Christmas poems. This song expresses hundreds of years of waiting, longing and tears, and finally finds hope in Jesus: "The comforting power of Israel/the great hope of all mankind/the pious expectation of all nations/the thirst for joy."
