Chen Yongming was born in Yongshan, Zhaotong. Member of Yunnan Writers Association, Yunnan Literature Critics Association, China Prose Society and Chinese Poetry Society. He has published Selected Prose, Frontier Literature, Ci, China Prose Writer, Hundred Schools and other works. He has published seven collections of personal works, including Love between Heaven and Earth, Year of the Tiger Sacrifice, Mind Watch and Homesickness. He has won China Prose Huabiao Award, China Contemporary Prose Award and Huaxia Prose Award. It is included in China Writers' Dictionary, China Poets' Dictionary, China Prose Writers' Dictionary and China Novelist Dictionary. He is currently the deputy director of the Propaganda Department of Yongshan County Committee, the chairman of the County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the chairman of the County Writers Association, and the editor-in-chief of Yongshan Literature (bimonthly).
