There is an exquisite park in Xibalizhuang on the Kunyu River in Beijing. The Linglong Tower in the park has a history of more than 400 years. Today, it stands in the high-rise buildings in Beijing, silent and speechless. In fact, it used to be part of the most splendid building in Beijing.

1957 10, Linglong Tower was designated as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Beijing. Because it is the representative work of the single-story cornice tower in Ming Dynasty, it is modeled after the Tianning Temple Tower in Beijing, so it is also called "sister tower" with Tianning Temple Tower.

In the north of Linglong Tower, there are two stone tablets dating back to Wanli. On the left, there is the Guanyin statue of Zizhu (there is also the Bodhisattva statue of Jiulian), and on the right, there are the Guanyin statue of fish basket and Guandi statue. The Fish Basket Guanyin is based on Buddhist scriptures, Induction Biography and Fahua Yan Zhi.

According to the statistics of the national cultural relics survey in 1980s, a fish basket Guanyin in Linglong Tower is one of the only two in China, which is very precious.

Linglong Tower is an octagonal 13-story solid brick tower with dense eaves (called "dense eaves tower" on the tall tower body). It is nearly 60 meters high and consists of three parts: tower foundation, tower body and tower gate. It is beautiful, dignified and antique.

The tower foundation is divided into two layers, the lower layer is a three-layer platform with stone edges and corners, and the upper layer is a double-layer sumeru pedestal with exquisite lotus seats carved. Ancient musical instruments such as sheng, Xiao, Qin and Qin are carved on the upper part of Xumi Mountain, which has very precious historical value.

However, due to years of weathering, it is now blurred and illegible. There are brick arches and semicircular carved windows on all sides of the tower. The plaque on the arch is "Yong 'an Wanshou Pagoda" in the south, "Jing Di Tu" in the east, "True Kindness and Great Compassion" in the north and "Phaeton Sun and Moon" in the west.

There are 24 shrines on each floor, initially offering 3 12 bronze buddhas. There are statues of King Kong Lux on both sides of the doors and windows. These statues have weathered the wind and rain, and now they all show their wooden cores. The tower is covered with brick carvings and clay figures. Although it has been severely weathered, it can still distinguish the majestic and beautiful and vivid features of that year.

In ancient times, bells were hung on the eaves of temples mainly to ward off evil spirits. There are more than 3000 wind chimes hanging on the eaves of Linglong Tower. Standing under the tower, you can listen carefully. Due to the change of the strength, length and direction of the wind, the bell will change subtly, crisp and pleasant, as if playing a colorful symphony.

At the top of Linglong Tower is a gold-plated lotus tower. Looking up at the Linglong Tower from bottom to top, the dense eaves slowly rise layer by layer, and the brick arches under the eaves are supported layer by layer until the top of the tower. The tower is stable and beautiful, but it is hidden. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the Linglong Tower was carefully repaired, so that it can stand today.
