Who knew that Ye Zhi's In the Willow Garden was selected from his poems?
On the Edge of Sally's Garden is an early poem by Ye Zhi, originally named In the Willow Garden. Liu Yuanli was originally named "Old Songs and New Singing", which was adapted from an incomplete three-line old folk song. The poem is simple, beautiful in rhythm, touching, full in image, delicate in feelings, sad and moving, and exhorts life. His early poems have beautiful rhythm, delicate feelings, gorgeous rhetoric and rich symbolic meanings, which are obviously influenced by English romanticism and French symbolism poetry. Ye Zhi (Ye Zhi, 1865- 1939, Irish playwright and poet, 1923 won the Nobel Prize in Literature).
