Who knows the poem love in Vietnam?

Love America in Vietnam War

Remember that time?

I borrowed your new car.

I hit it.

I thought you were going to kill me.

But you didn't

Remember that time?

I dragged you to the beach/you said it would rain/it really rained.

I thought you would say/I told you so.

But you didn't

Remember that time?

I spit strawberry cake on your newly painted carpet.

I thought you would hate me.

But you didn't

Remember that time?

I flirt with all men.

Make you jealous

But you didn't

Remember that time?

I forgot to tell you.

The ball is in the skirt/and you are only wearing jeans.

I thought you would give up on me.

But you didn't

Yes/there are many things you haven't done.

And you tolerate me, love me and protect me.

There are many things/I want to repay you.

When you come back from Vietnam,

But you didn't

This is an American woman sorting out the relics of her late mother.

I found a poem written by my mother for my father who died in Vietnam.

I used to think that love must be vigorous and passionate.

I never thought that a dull relationship is so worth waiting for with my life.

Only to find that love is actually that simple,

As the saying goes: but you didn't.
