Psalm 62
Scripture:
My heart is silent, waiting? God, my salvation comes from him. ..... My heart, should you wait in silence? God, because my hope comes from him. (Ps。 62: 1,5)
Key words:
Silence, waiting for God.
Experience:
If someone asks me, what is the most difficult lesson to learn on the spiritual path I have experienced in recent years? I will not hesitate to answer that I am waiting for God!
Yes, I prayed to God many times, but I didn't get a timely response. Even many times, my prayers are like sinking into the sea, and there is no answer. Did God hear my prayer? When will deep hopes come true and dreams come true?
Wait, wait, wait. It seems that God's only response is that I must wait patiently. ...
The day I waited, my heart was full of all kinds of voices. There are complaints of anger and dissatisfaction, doubts of disappointment and depression, silent weeping of anxiety, silent sobs of pain and despair. I began to turn the problem to others, thinking that all the mistakes were others' fault. I even turned my complaints to myself, thinking that all the pain only came from my incompetence and uselessness!
Has the author of this poem ever had such an experience? Yes, he obviously did. So he said in his heart, wait for God in silence, for your hope comes from the Lord.
Hope is caring for the Lord, what a simple and clear truth! Hope does not come from the change of environment, nor from the help of others, nor from our own ability, but from the mercy of the Lord God! Although this truth is simple and clear, how difficult is it to make people really look up and wait silently?
Oh, merciful Lord, have mercy on me, because only you know what my inner desire is, and only you know what my greatest dream is. So, Lord, please give me strength in person, let me wait quietly, and let me not lose heart while waiting. My hope rests entirely on you!
Pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, please personally calm my heart so that I can wait patiently for your mercy and not lose heart while waiting. Amen!
