Meng Haoran was a famous poet in Tang Dynasty.

Meng Haoran is a representative of the pastoral school in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and he is also called "Wang Mengshi School" with Wang Wei. He never served as an official all his life, and he was clothed all his life, which is also rare among poets in the Tang Dynasty.

Complaining about this crumbling hut on Zhongnanshan ruined his future.

In the sixteenth year of Kaiyuan, Meng Haoran, who was nearly forty years old, left Lumen Mountain, where he had lived in seclusion for many years, and went to the capital Chang 'an to take the imperial examination.

It is the ultimate goal of all literati to "serve Tian Shelang in court and ascend to the imperial palace in the evening", and Meng Haoran can't avoid the custom.

After arriving in Chang 'an, Meng Haoran, the imperial capital is prosperous, the wine is rich, and celebrities and beautiful women are all eager to give up the customs. As the saying goes, "don't envy immortals and think secular."

He is knowledgeable, often participates in various talent gatherings and makes a splash.

In the poetry writing activity of imperial academy Poetry Writing Conference, he dumped a room full of officials with two poems, named "The Light River in Wei Yun, Sparse Raindrops and Indus", so that the literati behind him started writing for it, because they felt that Meng Haoran's Zhu Yu was in the front, and no matter how he wrote it, it was suspected that the dog's tail continued to be marten. Meng Haoran's poems have been famous for some time.

Meng Haoran is also full of ambition and feels that this battle will definitely be successful. After all, poetry and fu became the main examination contents of Jinshi in the Tang Xuanzong era.

However, "the ideal is full and the reality is very skinny." In the subsequent imperial examinations, Meng Haoran unexpectedly dropped out of the list. Just like there is something wrong with the current Xueba college entrance examination, it is a pity that the imperial examination at that time was absolutely final, and there were no options such as approving in advance and collecting volunteers. Therefore, this time does not mean that we can only wait for the next exam.

Meng Haoran was accidentally hit by Waterloo, which he was determined to win, and soon became decadent and depressed.

In order to comfort him, his good friend Wang Wei took him to the Hanlin Academy to drink and discuss poetry. As a result, I happened to meet Tang Xuanzong to visit the Hanlin Academy. At first, Wang Wei was so scared that he hid Meng Haoran under the bed. When meeting with Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Wang Wei saw that your majesty was in a good mood and was afraid to take on the crime of deceiving the monarch. He took the opportunity to recommend Meng Haoran to Tang Xuanzong, who was also the emperor of love, and ordered Meng Haoran to come out to see him. When Meng Haoran climbed out from under the bed, Xuanzong said to him, "Since you are so talented, please sing me a poem."

This should be regarded as an excellent opportunity to turn over. As long as Meng Haoran responds properly at this time and is recognized by your majesty, it will always be beneficial to his career. Perhaps when Tang Xuanzong was happy, he might be awarded the title of "fellow scholar" on the spot.

Therefore, when Meng Haoran returned to Zhongnanshan at the end of the year, he put forward his grumbling suggestions to Tang Xuanzong.

Don't write to the North Yard again, let me go back to the old hut in the old Nanshan.

I have no reason to decide to give up my point of view. My old and many sick friends have stopped practicing.

According to the biography of Meng Haoran in the New Tang Dynasty, I heard Fu Ran say, "You don't want to be an official, but I didn't abandon you. Why do you accuse me!" I was released to Nanshan because of my life, and I will not be an official for life.

When Tang Xuanzong saw this poem, he was very unhappy and angrily scolded: "You Meng Haoran didn't make progress. I didn't know you at the beginning, let alone deliberately dislike you. Why did you frame me like this? " Therefore, Tang Xuanzong ordered Meng Haoran not to enter for life.

Meng Haoran belongs to the worst college entrance examination candidates who are extremely lucky, but there is no one who has never lived together. In the face of the highest examiner, the psychological quality is not strong enough, and the ability to make decisions and choose on the spot is lacking.

Lost, Meng Haoran did not forget to thank Wang Wei for his help. Wrote "Leaving Wang Wei"

I waited slowly and reluctantly, day after day, until now I had to leave.

Old friend, how sweet the roadside flowers would be if they didn't mean goodbye.

The lords of the kingdom are very hard on us, and the people who handle affairs are not our own kind.

You should just be lonely, and I will close the door of my old garden.

Wang Wei also sent back "Farewell", expressing infinite regret:

Please have a drink with your horse and ask your friend where you are going.

You said you would go back to Zhongnanshan because you were not proud of your life.

Just left, I want to ask again, look at the white clouds floating.

I want to cross, but I find that the pursuit of an official position without a ship will never succeed.

Although frustrated this time, Meng Haoran still has a desire for his career.

Because Meng Haoran later wrote to Prime Minister Zhang Jiuling, indicating his willingness to seek official positions. "I want to cross the river, but I can't find a boat. I am more ashamed than you politicians." I want Zhang Jiuling to recommend him to be an official and seek the possibility of career development. As a result, Zhang Jiuling dared not recommend him.

The God of Destiny visited Meng Haoran again in the 23rd year of Kaiyuan seven years later.

At that time, 46-year-old Meng Haoran met Han Chaozong, a hometown official and Xiangzhou secretariat. Han Chaozong worshipped Meng Haoran very much. He first publicized Meng Haoran's talents to other senior officials, and made a series of preparations for this and recommended it to the court.

Han Chaozong and Meng Haoran made an appointment to take him to see the big shots in the DPRK on a specific day. As a result, on the appointed day, Meng Haoran and a group of friends were drinking and talking about poetry, and they reached the rhythm of being inseparable, even forgetting the audience. He was reminded that you had an appointment with Han Cishi to meet the big shots in the DPRK. This is a great event. I'm afraid I can't neglect others if I don't hurry to keep the appointment. Meng Haoran was very unhappy, saying that he reprimanded and reminded his friends: I have already drunk, and now it is the happiest time, which has nothing to do with anything else.

"The Biography of Meng Haoran in the New Tang Dynasty" or: "Jun and Han Palace have regular periods." Haoran said angrily, "I have already drunk, and I pity him!" " The pawn is not going. Chaozong was angry and said goodbye, but he didn't regret it.

From then on, Meng Haoran stopped looking up at the gate of the Imperial Capital Temple and began to concentrate on free poetry and rivers and lakes, extracting poems and paintings from the landscape and countryside, and enjoying the pastoral hermit life, thus opening a real hermit life.
