Shougang ski jumping platform is the first newly-built venue put into use in the 222 Beijing Winter Olympics, the only snow competition venue in Beijing, and the first permanently reserved ski jumping platform venue in the world. After the Winter Olympics, it became the world's first permanently reserved and used ski platform venue, became a professional sports competition and training venue, and was open to the public for mass leisure and fitness activities.
The National Platform Skiing Center will undertake the platform skiing and nordic combined competition in the Beijing Winter Olympics.
