Seven elements of church unity

The seven elements of church unity are: consistency of faith, biblical authority, theological dialogue and mutual understanding, community sharing, unity and leadership, service and witness, and reconstruction of church relations.

Different sects have reached a * * * understanding and agreement on their own beliefs, including the agreement on the core beliefs such as the essence of Christ and the understanding of salvation. Recognize the Bible as the supreme authority of faith, and take its interpretation and application as the foundation of church unity. Through theological dialogue and mutual understanding, we should respect the unique traditions and viewpoints of different sects and seek common understanding and cooperation.

Encourage believers of different sects to establish in-depth exchanges and cooperation and participate in church activities such as worship, prayer and communion. Establish a unified leading body or committee composed of representatives of various sects to make joint decisions and promote the process of church unity.

* * * We are committed to public welfare and social services, and show the strength and value of Christian unity to the outside world through life witness. Repair the church relationship broken by division in history, establish a friendly relationship of mutual recognition and support, and eliminate differences and estrangements.

These elements are the basic principles and direction of pursuing the unity of the church, and different sects and organizations may have differences and emphases in practice.

Talk about "unity" in the church, not "cooperation". The world emphasizes "cooperation", because this world is people-centered and emphasizes people's interests, and cooperation is necessary. The church must have unity, because the church is centered on God and emphasizes the glory of God. Therefore, the unity of the church is to witness the glory of God and express God's grace and blessing.

The meaning of the church

The church is the basic organization of Christianity, which can refer to the whole organization of various Christian factions, such as the Christian church, the Catholic church, the Orthodox Church and so on. It can also refer to all Christian organizations in a country, a certain region or a certain church, such as the Church of England, the Church of Jerusalem and the Church of a certain church.

The original meaning of the church is "called the congregation". The church is a body headed by the living God Jesus Christ. God lives in it through the Holy Spirit of Jesus, and it is also the life combination of all people who believe in the Lord and are saved. This is a spiritual group. Its mission is mainly to serve God, preach the gospel, bring people into the Lord's name and give all glory to God's holy name.
