Wang Bo; Yang Jiong; Lu Zhaolin; King Luo Bin
The Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty refer to Wang Bo, Yang Jiong, Lu Zhaolin, and King Luo Bin. They are the four heroes in the early Tang Dynasty. An outstanding poet. The four outstanding literati are equally famous, initially referring to their poetry and prose, but mainly to their parallel prose and fu. Although the poems and essays of the Four Masters have not lost their beauty since the Qi and Liang Dynasties, they have initially changed the literary atmosphere.
1. Wang Bo: The parallel prose "Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng" written by Wang Bo when he was young is a famous piece in Chinese classical literature and has been passed down orally for a long time. His poems are fresh and natural, and there are often aphorisms in each poem, just like the strange flowers and plants scattered in the valley, making people read them endlessly.
2. Yang Jiong: Yang Jiong is famous for his poems on border fortress battles, such as "Army March", "Out of the Fortress", "Battle to the South of the City", "Purple Horse", etc., which express the battles that made contributions to the country. Spiritual, majestic and bold style.
3. Lu Zhaolin: Lu Zhaolin’s poems are especially good at seven-character songs and have contributed to the development of Qigu. The representative work "The Ancient Meaning of Chang'an" is a well-known poem in the early Tang Dynasty.
4. King Luo Bin: King Luo Bin has bold words and rigorous rhythm. He was born in a humble family and has few talents. In 684 AD, when he followed Xu Jingye to launch an army to attack Wu Zetian, he wrote "An Exhortation for Xu Jingye to Defeat Wu Zetian". After Xu Jingye's defeat, his whereabouts are unknown. He was either killed by the rebel army or escaped into Buddhism.
The fact that the four heroes are equally famous does not originally refer to their poetry, but mainly refers to parallel prose and Fu. Later, it was mainly used to comment on his poems. The Four Heroes were figures in the literary world of the early Tang Dynasty, during the transitional period between the old and the new. Lu and Luo's seven-character songs tend to be more poetic and more powerful. Wang and Yang's five-character rhyme began to become standardized and the tone was sonorous. Parallel prose is also full of richness and flexibility, and is full of flexibility and liveliness.
