Wang Anshi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, wrote in his poem "Days in January" that the spring breeze brought warmth to Tu Su. The rising sun sheds light on doors of each household, New peachwood charm is put up to replace the old.
Wang Anshi's Yuanri not only records the customs of New Year's Eve and Yuanri in the Song Dynasty, but also describes the scene of welcoming the New Year in the Tang and Song Dynasties, expressing his own philosophical concept: "In addition to firecrackers in one year, spring (or easterly wind) sends warmth into Tu Su. Thousands of families always trade new peaches for old ones. "It is said that they were sent away for a year with firecrackers. In the warm spring breeze, the whole family likes to drink Tu Su wine.
Of course, as a great politician and philosopher, Wang Anshi's purpose in writing this poem is not simply to record the folk customs of the Spring Festival in the Song Dynasty, but to express his political ideal of breaking new ground.
