Poetry is a drama film directed and written by Li Cangdong and starring Zheng Xiyun, Li Dawei and Anna Sang. May 10 was released in Korea.
This film tells the story of Miko, an elderly Korean. Although she lives in a lonely and dark world, she is still trying to learn how to write poems. Facing her grandson's crime, she deeply felt the distress of a sinner.
A 65-year-old woman, Miko (Zheng Xiyun), lives alone in a small town with her grandson (Li Dawei) who is in junior high school. Every day, she dresses herself spotless and goes out to do nursing work. Although life is poor, it doesn't affect her enthusiasm for life at all. Later, as she grew older, her memory slowly declined, although she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
However, she loves poetry, signed up for a poetry class, not only often attended poetry recitals, but also began to learn to write poetry. So, she began to pay attention to the little things in life, in order to capture the inspiration that may appear at any time, and then record it in her notebook. However, her life seems calm, but there are also many things that are hard to say.
For example, a disabled old man she cared for forced her to have sex in the bathtub, and a girl threw herself into the river because she was raped by her grandson and a group of delinquent teenagers. Fortunately, reading poems under the lamp every night can make her forget these unhappiness. At the end of the poetry class, everyone needs to write a poem and hand in their homework.
On the way to apologize to the girl who committed suicide, she was attracted by the wild flowers on the road, and beautiful poems came to her mind, but she forgot what she was going to do.
