The emergence of pan-arabism

Arab countries have been under the rule of the Ottoman Empire since16th century. Based on the fact that the Arab people have the same language, culture, religious beliefs and customs, the Arab nationalists put forward the political proposition of opposing the rule of the Ottoman Empire and establishing an independent and unified Arab country, which resulted in Arab nationalism.
