What does the entirety of Psalm 35 mean?

Commentary on Psalm 35:15-28: Psalm 35:15,16 However, when trouble and calamity struck David, they rejoiced greatly. They gathered to attack him. They brought the man who complained of abandonment from the streets and slandered him with fiery tirade. They insulted him rudely and loudly, and gnashed their teeth at him angrily. The psalmist's experience reminds us of the scene in which the Lord Jesus appeared before Pontius Pilate and Herod; and what is described here speaks powerfully of the suffering He endured at that time. 35:17,18 How long will the Lord look at all injustice and ignore it? It’s time to save the innocents from the maiming of the enemies and save their precious lives from these human lions. 35:19-21 How ridiculous it would be for David's enemies to unreasonably rejoice in his downfall and take pleasure in their apparent victory. They don't like peace - they just want to fabricate false evidence against upright and law-abiding citizens.
