Is my child a little stupid?

Two days ago, when my parents came to pick up my child, they asked me, teacher, is my child a little stupid and has a bad memory?

You know, the child is only 5 years old!

I told my parents, no, she is fine, not stupid, and has a good memory, but she is a little introverted and shy. She is a quiet child with that temperament.

Moreover, it is normal for 5-year-old children to have worse memory than adults!

I think it is very impolite to describe a child as "stupid".

She is not "stupid", but she is a little slower than other children. She may need more time to know new things and master new knowledge.

There are no two identical leaves in the world, let alone people!

It is cruel to judge a child by "stupidity". Is it really stupid?

I want to answer this question with a passage from Ruth Bebenmel's poem.

I have never seen a stupid child;

I have seen what a child sometimes does.

I don't understand.

Or don't do things according to my orders;

But he is not a stupid boy.

Please, before you call him stupid,

Think about it,

Is he a stupid kid, or

He doesn't know the same thing as you?

Sometimes, we really should learn from nature. If I were born an apple, I wouldn't have to envy the life of oranges, just live my own apple life.

We don't need to compare with others. There is no competition in life, only difference.

In this world, everyone is unique and precious. Cherish your uniqueness and cherish the preciousness of living high!
