Does anyone know how to understand "controlling meaning with meaning" in poetry appreciation?

A literary criticism method put forward by Mencius in the middle of the Warring States Period. The Book of Songs Xiaoya Beishan wrote: "I am interested in Beishan, and my words are ridiculous. We work day and night with scholars. Wang is very anxious and worried about my parents. Under the sky, is it not the land of kings? Is leading the land king? Doctors are uneven, and I am engaged in unique talents. " Xian Qiu Meng did not proceed from the overall meaning of the whole poem, but put forward out of context: "The Book of Songs says:' Under the world, it is the land of kings; Isn't leading the land a king? "Since Shun is the son of heaven, why don't you ask him if he is a minister?" He thinks that since Shun became emperor, his father is not his subject. Isn't this contradictory to the meaning of these words in The Book of Songs? Mencius criticized him and said, "It's poetry, not this meaning. It is too much for the king to adopt his parents. " Beishan is the poet's dissatisfaction with uneven work and rest. If we take it literally like that, wouldn't the word "childless" in The Book of Songs be interpreted as "no adherents of Zhou Dynasty"? To this end, Mencius told him: "Therefore, poets do not harm words with words, and do not harm their ambitions with words;" It is your responsibility to go against your wishes. " Mencius emphasized the understanding of poetry, not only from the superficial meaning of words, but also from the basic idea of the whole poem to understand the meaning of words. The "opposition" of "opposing ambition with meaning" is "catering to and pondering", and "ambition" refers to the purpose and intention of the poet in writing poetry. There have always been two different views on the understanding of meaning. One group thinks that "meaning" refers to reading the poet's meaning. For example, Zhao Qi said in his annotation of Mencius in the Han Dynasty: "Ambition is the poet's desire. Meaning, the heart of a scholar is also. " "Not far from human feelings. It is a fact that doing what you want is against the will of the poet. " In Zhu's Notes on Four Books, he said, "When you violate the author's will with your own, you can get it. "They all stressed that poets must fully understand the meaning of poetry, and only by correctly understanding can they obtain the author's ambition. Another view holds that "meaning" refers to the objective meaning in poetry. For example, Wu Qi in the Qing Dynasty said in the Origin of Selected Poems of the Six Dynasties: "Confucianism in Han and Song Dynasties means that knowing the word belongs to the ancients, but the meaning is its own meaning. I am not an ancient man, but I speak according to my own will, and my view of virtue in Mongolia is also geometric. Those who don't know the heart of the ancients, take the meaning as a mirror and follow the will, good or bad. Where the meaning goes, it is where the ambition lies. Therefore, it is better to talk about poetry or to govern people with the will of the ancients. That is, based on this poetic theory, it is not allowed to adopt parents, and its ambition is also; All over the world, words also. "It's not the king's business, but I'll do my best", that is to say. His words are harmful, but his meaning is harmless. So contrary to this meaning, it's just for raising relatives. "Wuqi's explanation conforms to the characteristics of literary creation and is more scientific. According to his understanding, this is indeed a good way to objectively analyze poetry. But Mencius' original intention may still be to go against the poet's will with his own will. This can be seen from his own literary criticism practice. In Liang's "With Gongsun Chou", his interpretation of the words "Gongliu", "Mian", "Lingtai", "Owl" and "Tang Palace" in The Book of Songs clearly shows that the poet pursues his ambition with his own will. In fact, readers always have their own views and understandings of poetry, and it is impossible to fully agree with the author. If self-will is formed on the basis of objective analysis of works, just like Mencius' understanding of Beishan, it can be consistent with the objective meaning of poetry. If self-will is based on prejudice and subjective speculation, it will distort the original intention of poetry, just like Mencius' interpretation of Gong Liu and other articles. Therefore, to correctly understand the meaning of "meaning against will", it is necessary to combine the scientific aspects of two different understandings in history to make it a truly scientific literary criticism method.
