Bai Juyi's representative fable poems

Song of everlasting regret, watching wheat cutting, selling charcoal Weng and so on. Bai Juyi, whose real name was Lotte, was a Buddhist in Xiangshan in his later years. He was a great realistic poet in the Tang Dynasty and one of the three great poets in the Tang Dynasty. Bai Juyi advocated the new Yuefu movement in literature in theory and creative practice, and emphasized the "beautiful thorn" function of poetry. Therefore, there are many allegorical poems, among which the most prominent one is Song of Eternal Sorrow, which describes the love between Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and Yang Guifei, and the outbreak of famine in the rebellion between the country and Anshi. There is "Looking at the Wheat Harvest" which describes the busy farming scene in the wheat harvest season and criticizes the exorbitant taxes and levies that cause people's poverty. There is "Selling Charcoal Weng", which describes the hardships of the elderly who burn charcoal for a living. Through the experience of selling Charcoal Weng, the corrupt nature of the court market is deeply exposed.
